Day 30
Stewardship of the Truth
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” (Matthew 7:6)
Stewardship of the Truth is the 22th pillar
Stewardship of the Truth is the 22th pillar that holds the temple of Truth !
Beloved, God our Father has saved us from the world and has entrusted us with the Truth. He has made us stewards rather than owners of this Truth. And it is required of a steward that he should be found faithful with the Truth and the gifts God has entrusted unto him:
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.” (Matthew 25:14-15)
My dear beloved, Christ went to heaven and He has entrusted us with treasures which are both His Truth and abilities for us to trade in this world, not to keep to ourselves nor hide in the ground, but with a willing heart rendering service as to God and not to men.
My dear beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ will return. This is guaranteed, whether we are ready or not. He is coming. And He will require an account from each one of us of what we have done with the Gospel (Truth) that was entrusted to us and how we have used the abilities (gifts) that He has given us. For the Lord has entrusted us with a diversity of gifts, some more, some less, but there is not a single Christian walking around without any gift. We all have one gift or several gifts. We are all good at something. If you do not know what your gifts are, ask the Lord Jesus and He will reveal them to you, and God will send people your way to confirm your gift. For example, if you are a good teacher, people will tell you that you are a good teacher; if you sing nicely, people will tell you that you have a lovely voice; and if you cook well, people will tell you that they love your food, and so on. Your gifts will be visible.
Now, it is imperative that you discover your gifts so that you may serve God effectively, for if you are working in a ministry that you were not created to work in, you will frustrate yourself and others. It is like a player who does not know his position on the field; this can cost the team dearly. Beloved, we are all members of the same body. We need each of the members of the body to fulfill their functions. In order for the body to function properly, it must not be robbed of your gift. Please bless us with what you are good at, focus on it, improve it, and practice it day and night, that you may render a perfect service unto God. For the coming of the Master is at hand, and He will ask us to give an account:
“Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.” (Matthew 25:16-19)
My dear beloved, if your Bible is collecting dust and it is never opened, and if you feel as an outsider in church and inadequate in the body of Christ at large, you are the one who has hidden your talent in the ground. My dear beloved, I urge you, for Christ’s sake, dust off your Bible and open the Light that will light your path. It will work inside you first. Then it will work in others through you, as you also trade your talent and multiply it, fulfilling your ministry and being a good steward of the Truth.
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10)
“Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:1-2)
What is Truth?
Beloved, the body of Christ is broad and there are a lot of denominations, and each one claims to have the Truth: some have first truth, some have the middle truth, and others have the end time truth. But God, who alone is Faithful, has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us to the whole Truth. So what is the whole Truth then?
Let us settle this matter once and for all, and let us ask the Lord Jesus who alone is infallible. Lord Jesus, what is Truth?
“I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
There you have it, my dear beloved, from the only infallible source.
The truth is not some doctrines of churches, or what prophets and prophetesses wrote, or what pastors, bishops, or reverends write.
My dear beloved the Truth is a person. The Truth, as we have heard from the Lord, is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. And he who does not have Christ in his heart does not have the Truth. It does not matter what someone says or preaches. If he does not have Christ dwelling in his heart through the power of the Holy Spirit, he does not have the Truth.
How do you know if someone has Christ in his heart or not?
Let us ask the Lord Jesus, who alone is infallible. Amen!
Lord Jesus, how can we know if You are dwelling in someone’s heart? What should we look for?
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)
There you have it, my dear beloved, from the Lord Himself. “Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.” And the greatest fruit is love. If a church or a professed Christian does not have love in their hearts, they do not have the Truth, they have something else not worth mentioning.
My dear beloved, the Truth is a PRECIOUS, SACRED TREASURE THAT WE MUST KEEP IN OUR HEARTS! The Truth is Christ, the Word of God, the Bible. Therefore, let us guard it in our hearts. The Truth, like God, is eternal.
There is nothing like it, and there will never be anything like it! For the Truth changes lives. I, Ramos Talaya, can testify to that. It changed my life for the better. I will never be the same again, forever. Hallelujah! Glory be to God! Amen!
The Truth improves lives, strengthens hearts, fixes people, repairs homes, heals souls, spirits and bodies, motivates, and gives hope. When Truth is believed it makes weak people feel strong; worried people find peace; confused people find answers; intelligent people grow wiser; and it makes even the fool gain wisdom. Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! Give glory to Him Who alone is eternal Wise. Amen!
And this Truth, my dear beloved, God has entrusted to us, to keep in our hearts and to use it for the benefit of mankind. We are not to dispute with each other: Who knows best? Who knows more? Or who knows less? “My church doesn’t teach it that way,” “I was not taught that way,” we may say. Frankly, my dear beloved, it does not matter how you were taught, the question is whether or not you agree with the Scriptures now that your eyes are open! If not, cast the lie off from you and embrace the Truth which is the Word of God, the Bible, which is the only infallible source!
Everything, my dear beloved, must be tested by the Word of God. If the Word of God does not support it, cast it off from you, including this book that you are reading. Everything must be tested by the Word of God! Do not just believe what you are told, or hear, or read. Test it all by the Word of God. Amen!
“…Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge.” (1 Timothy 6:20)
“That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.” (2 Timothy 1:14)
Finally, my dear beloved, your life is too precious in God’s eyes for you to sell your soul so freely to deceitful and corrupt people. You are not your own, my dear beloved. You were bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. You have no right to sell your soul to anyone as you are not yours, my dear beloved. Again, you belong to God:
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.” (Colossians 2:16-18)
“That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.” (Ephesians 4:14)
My dear beloved, keep the Truth of God in your heart that you may be able to stand against these evil doctrines, falsely called truth, knowledge, visions, prophecies, interpretations, and the like. The Truth, my dear beloved, is the Word of God, and God’s Word is the only thing that will last forever. Amen!
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Mark 13:31)
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen!
Meditation: I am a steward of the Truth, the manifold grace of God!
Prayer points: LORD, please reveal to me the gifts and abilities You have given me to fulfill the ministry You have given me. Lord, please help me to be a faithful servant, that it may be well with my soul on the Day of Judgment. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Commitment: I commit myself from today onward to be a faithful steward of the Truth. I shall keep the Word of God in my heart and use it for the benefit of mankind. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
